OUR JOURNEY
The Remnant Refined By Fire Covenant Fellowship, INC is a vibrant and inclusive online church community. Our journey began with a vision to create a place where people from all walks of life could come together to worship, grow, and serve. We embrace diversity and strive to create an environment where everyone feels welcomed and valued.

In the summer of 2016, Overseer Fred Eugene Jones Jr. felt a divine stirring that led him to step out of comfort and tradition to embrace a higher calling. A life-changing conversation with his spiritual father, Bishop T. Andrew Aiken, confirmed his purpose: to challenge the church to move beyond ritual and encounter the transformative power of God’s presence. This obedience prompted him to close the chapter on his former fellowship, embracing a radical vision to raise up a remnant of believers refined by fire—those called to heal, restore, and empower the broken, lost, and overlooked.

Thus, The Remnant Refined By Fire Covenant Fellowship, known as “The REM,” was born. More than just an organization, it became a movement—a prophetic mandate to awaken purpose in those who had been tried and tested. Based in the heart of City of Refuge Church, it became a place where revival would burn continually. The REM was created to disciple and empower those who had survived life’s crucible, equipping them to ignite their communities with testimonies of faith, restoration, and holy fire.

Culture: The Head of The REM
At The REM, culture is the foundation of our vision and actions, driven by a hunger for wisdom. This hunger leads us to Love, which connects us to one another. We embrace a culture of God's love that permeates all we do. The Word guides us from obscurity to Kingdom purposes, shaping our identity as we transform by revelation.
Daily Deposits and Divine Outpourings
Leaders in The REM make daily deposits of the Word into their hearts, inviting divine revelation. This enables growth and a firm stand in the culture of The REM, always advancing toward a higher purpose.
Maturity: The Body of The REM
Maturity supports all we do. We refuse stagnation, embracing a continual transformation—the Maturing Metamorphosis. True maturity is demonstrated not just in actions, but in the fruit of the Word within us. We grow in Christ’s likeness through suffering, knowing radical love is the only logical response to His sacrifice.
Faith and The Word: The Legs and Feet of The REM
Faith strengthens us, while The Word guides our steps. By hearing the Word, we build faith, becoming unmovable. We commit to growing in faith and living by the Word, shaping our minds to align with the Kingdom of God.
Love and Transformation: The Arms of The REM
Love, the essence of God, drives us to act with kindness, truth, and grace, transforming others through authentic, selfless love. Transformation begins within, renewing our minds and empowering us to transform the world around us through God’s will.

We aspire to ignite a passion for God, equip individuals for purposeful living, and empower the local church to be a beacon of hope and transformation in the world. We envision a future where every person we encounter experiences the love and power of God through our ministry.

“The Remnant Refined By Fire Covenant Fellowship,” or “The REM,” is a divine movement designed to be a “Radical Effective Movement” that is “Ready Every Moment.” It is a body of believers from diverse backgrounds, many having experienced seasons of exile, pain, and hidden journeys. Their purpose is to live out the truth of 1 Corinthians 2:3–5—demonstrating the Spirit's power, not just speaking words. Marked by radical obedience, readiness, and effectiveness, The REM is driven by the fire of the Holy Ghost and a commitment to transforming lives through the tangible presence of God.

The REM stands as a sanctuary for spiritual refugees, those who’ve been lost, overlooked, or cast out. It is a place where they find not only shelter but purpose, being led back to the place God has ordained for them. Fulfilled by the prophetic word in Micah 7:8–11, The REM is a fellowship designed to bring healing, restoration, and empowerment to individuals at every level. Here, people experience the nurturing of hidden treasures within, unlocking greater gifts through divine insight and Spirit-led inspiration from leaders who have been tested by the fire of their own experiences..

The founder of The REM, Overseer Fred Eugene Jones Jr., is a living testimony of overcoming hardship and enduring trials. His life exemplifies 2 Corinthians 12:10: “When I am weak, then I am strong.” Through personal suffering and spiritual refinement, he teaches others how to rise above religious abuse and rejection. The REM is more than a traditional church—it is an organism, alive and adaptable, sustained by covenant and not convenience. It is a living body of Christ in motion, carrying God’s power wherever it goes, and fulfilling its purpose to be a radical difference in the Kingdom of God.
